Nawalparasi: A woman with 2 sons lost in Gandak Canal

A woman along with her two sons have gone missing after being washed away in the Gandak Canal in Nawalparasi.

DSP Bhojraj Pandey said that it was reported that Pratima Tharu, a 29-year-old resident of Mahalbari, jumped into the Gandak Canal in Susta Rural Municipality-2, Harakpura, along with her 9-year-old son Krish and 7-year-old Sumit.

Pratima’s husband has gone for foreign employment. DSP Pandey said that an investigation is being carried out to find out what caused him to jump and the search for the three missing persons in the canal is underway.
