Ashta Laxmi Shakya, a vice-presidential candidate for the CPN-UML, has announced her candidacy.
According to UML sources, KP Sharma Oli, Subas Nemwang, Chhabilal Bishwakarma, Gokarna Bista, and Raghuveer Mahaseth are among Shakya’s supporters, and he also has the backing of Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Mahesh Bertaula, Tulsa Dahal, Bhagwati Neupane, and Yasoda Rizal.
Shakya will run for vice president of the nation, it was determined during a meeting of the party secretariat on Saturday morning.
