The Beni-Jomsom road connecting Mustang through the northern area of ​​Myagdi will be closed for six and a half hours every day from Monday.

In order to speed up the upgrading work, the schedule of traffic movement and closure of the Beni-Galeshwar section of Beni-Jomsom road has been prepared according to District Administration Office Myagdi.

Assistant Chief District Officer Arjun Sharma informed that from February 1st to 15th, traffic movement would be closed from 6-8 in the morning, 11:30 to 1:30 in the afternoon, and 8:30 to 11:00 the night for road upgrading.

Arrangements will be made for easy movement of emergency vehicles including ambulances and alternative routes for small vehicles Dallepipal-Rahuwada-Galeshwar. He said the timetable was made after road expansion and traffic operations were accompanied by the risk of accidents, passenger inconvenience, and construction work.

The builders requested the administration to arrange the schedule through the Beni-Jomsom-Korla road project. Kaligandaki Corridor (Beni-Jomsom-Korla) road project of Rashtriya Gaurav had signed a contract with Jai Dhannajay-Mangladevi-Suwas JV for 12 crores 25 lakhs 94 thousand 436 to expand and blacken the Beni-Galeshwar road for a distance of two kilometers and one hundred and two meters.

Subas Karki, the representative of the construction company, said that after the agreement, the work of cutting the hill and building the wall towards Dill has been accelerated to widen the road.

Eighty-five workers and three dozers have been mobilized. Within two years, the road will be widened by 11 meters, drains, culverts on walls and holes to prevent landslides, and black sheets will be made eight meters wide.

This three-kilometer road covering the geography of Ward No. 8, 6, and 9 of Beni Municipality was opened in 2053. It is the entry point of the Beni-Jomsom road connecting Mustang through the famous religious place of Myagdi, Galeshwar, Raghuganga, and Annapurna Rural Municipality.

In many places on the four to six-meter-wide road, big vehicles do not move in both directions, get stuck and get stuck. This road is used by residents, pilgrims, and tourists of Beni Municipality, Raghuganga, and Annapurna Rural Municipality of Myagdi as well as Mustang.
