Nepal and UAE are competing in today’s final match under ICC World Cricket League Two. And Nepali fans craze is pouring in for the home team. 

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda also reached Kirtipur to watch the match .

Prime Minister Prachanda has reached the cricket ground in Kirtipur to encourage Nepali cricketers, his chief personal secretary Ramesh Malla informed.

Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli also tweeted and wished the Nepali team a win.

Spectators inside and outside the field are packed. People carrying the national flag of Nepal are encouraging the Nepalese team. If they win today’s match against UAE, Nepal will be in the top three of League Two and will be able to participate in the global selection to be held in Zimbabwe.

Cricket craze in Kirtipur

From the matches so far, Nepal has 38 points and Namibia has 39 points. UAE is in sixth place in the table with 33 points. The result of today’s game went in favor of UAE, Nepal will remain in the fourth place and will have to go to the playoffs in Namibia. If Nepal is defeated, Namibia will occupy the top three positions. Scotland and Oman have qualified for the World Cup by being in first and second place.

As Nepal is undefeated in the ongoing series, it is aiming to continue the same today. With a record 177-run win over UAE on Falgun 28, Nepal has secured One Day International (ODI) recognition.
