Kathmandu, Nepal – Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) is inviting applications from students for the second batch of its innovative program (Cubes in Space 2023). The program aims to cultivate interest in space and astronomy among Nepali students and promote space-centered innovation.
About Cubes in Space
The only international competition for kids between the ages of 11 and 18 to create and submit experiments to launch into space or a nearby environment using a NASA-sounding rocket and zero-pressure research balloon is called Cubes in Space. Around 1,000 experiments have been flown since the program’s start in 2014, representing 2300+ educators and 22000 students from 75+ nations. The ION+ program, the Mission Patch Contest, RocketFest, the Student Academy, and the Educator Workshops are additional options offered by idoodlEDU Inc.
In partnership with NASA’s Langley Research Center, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and the Colorado Space Grant Consortium, Cubes in Space is made available.

In order to launch the Cubes in Space NASO initiative, the Nepal Astronomical Society and IdoodleEdu Inc. inked an Agreement in March 2021. NASO hope to expand the opportunity for Nepalese students to develop space experiments, send them to space or a nearby environment, collect, and study them through this relationship.
