Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has announced that the proposed dry port in Dodhara Chandani will be developed soon.

He stated that the dry port and the Daiji Chhela Industrial Estate would act as a catalyst for development in the Sudurpaschim Province. The Minister also revealed plans to export the goods produced there in the Indian market.
Additionally, Bhandari declared the start of a feasibility study for the mining industries in the Sudurpaschim Province. He explained that the development of the dry port would facilitate the export of Nepali goods, as it would make transportation to India easier.
Furthermore, Bhandari promised to activate the customs office in Belauri. The event was organized to boost industrial and economic activities in the southern belt of the Kanchanpur district, and the Chairman of the Belauri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tek Bahadur Saud, shared this sentiment.
