“Geta Medical College Upgrade to National Health Science University Set to Accelerate, PM Prachanda Announces”
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced that the construction of Geta Medical College will be expedited. During a field inspection of the college, he stated that the Cabinet meeting had decided to upgrade the college to the Shahid Dasharath Chand National Health Science University. The PM highlighted his commitment to improving healthcare in the Sudurpaschim Province and expressed his excitement for the development of the national health science university.
The construction of the remaining buildings and structures, including the road and drinking water pipeline, is expected to be completed in the next five months with a total cost estimated at Rs 5.45 billion. The project, which began in 2066 BS, will result in a 600-bed hospital and aims to provide quality and cost-effective health services.
