A couple has been arrested for killing an Indian citizen in Gulmi.
Gulmi: Husband and wife arrested
According to the police, Chabilal Adhikari and his wife Bishnu Adhikari of Satyavati rural municipality-1 were arrested on the charge of killing 44-year-old Sheikh Alinam from Bihar, India.
District Police Office Gulmi held a press conference on Saturday and announced the official couple. On the 19th of Magh, the body of Indian citizen Alinam was found on the banks of the Kaligandaki river on the border of Syangja and Gulmi.
The police started an investigation on suspicion of murder due to severe injuries on the head and forehead. During the investigation, it was revealed that the officer couple killed Alinam on January 26.
According to Gulmi police chief Superintendent of Police Arjun Ranabhat, both confessed to the murder. The police are preparing to take permission from the District Court Gulmi to investigate and detain them.
