According to the project’s information officer, Mahananda Joshi, blacktopping still has to be done on a 50–60 meter section of the road close to Nayapati because of a disagreement with the villagers.
He claimed that a disagreement had occurred recently between villagers and construction employees.
“The ward office is working hard to coordinate with the relevant organizations to address the issues that have emerged in the neighborhood. Following the resolution of the problems, the remaining locations would be blacktopped, he continued.
When the road expansion drive was about to be finished, the locals had proposed a requirement for the development of a bus park in the region, he said.
He stated that the bus park would also be built if funds were available.

In addition, he said, there was a public demand for the building of bridges in at least three locations along the road portion. He said that the project required government funding for the same.
He observed that despite road growth, the passageway through the bridges was still constricted.
The agreement to widen the road by 11 meters on each side from the center was reached in 2015 (2072 BS).
Due to obstructions like power poles and trees in the road, it took a while.
When the road-widening drive did not go as expected, the local population had been worried for a while.
