Free legal consultation services will start in all wards of Kathmandu Metropolitan City from Thursday.
Based on the agreement concluded with the Nepal Law Campus on Magh 17, the students assigned by the said campus will reach each ward and serve. Before going to the service, they were informed about the work to be done on Wednesday. A 16-point job description has been given to the students from the law campus to provide services.
For that, 50 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the campus have been selected. According to Kampa, 32 students will be mobilized at the rate of one student in each ward and three students in the center. The remaining 15 have been placed in the alternate list.

According to KAMPA’s information officer Vasant Acharya, the free legal service of the metropolis is an exercise in public-friendly administration. This kind of practice has not been done before. Other municipalities have not done this practice either. A roadmap will be drawn from its learning in the coming days.
A free legal consultation service room has been established in every ward to provide services. The ward will arrange the necessary tables and chairs for the operation of the classroom, the place for the users to sit, and the necessary educational materials.
An Internet-based group will be created to exchange information about edited work and mutual experience and learning.
It is said that the main purpose of the service is to provide oral or written information about the application, complaint, complaint, counter letter, written answer, drafting of agreement, legal arrangements and procedures to be submitted on behalf of the customer.
In the same way, the main tasks of the students will be to provide necessary assistance in the operation of reconciliation center and ward women at the ward level, and to participate in other programs designated by the people’s representative or the ward secretary. Similarly, those students will be mobilized in the Judicial Committee National Conference to be held on 15th and 16th of Chait.
