Nagesh Koirala, the mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City (BMC), gave the contractor instructions to expedite the building of the postal route in Biratnagar-5.
Instructing contractors to speed up their work, Mayor Koirala called their representatives to the city office. Koirala ordered the contractor to speed up development while keeping in mind the locals’ problems with poor roads.
Koirala also spoke with the officials of the contractor about the difficulties encountered while building the 3.195-kilometer postal route from Biratnagar-5, Ganeshchowk, to the Keshaliya Bridge.

The Bhumi Construction was given the go-ahead to finish the project by the first of August 2023.
However, Dev and Sagar Construction took up the construction duties after Bhumi Construction lost contact and abandoned the current project, according to Dipendra Chaudhary, an engineer at the Itahari Postal Highway Design Office.
