Starting today, the election code of conduct for the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections will be in effect until March 19.
Nepal Presidential election Code of Conduct
The Election Commission has scheduled the election for the President on March 9 and for the Vice-President on March 17, with a total of 882 voters. The nomination period for the presidential election has already begun, with an office established for the Election Officer on February 25.
The Election Code of Conduct has been issued by the EC Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel, exercising the rights granted by Article-22 of the Election Commission Act-2073. This code was previously implemented for the House of Representatives and Province Assembly elections on November 20.

The Election Commission has also announced that the code of conduct will apply to various government and parliamentary bodies, their ministers, civil servants, security personnel, political parties, and their affiliates, media organizations and their employees, candidates, representatives, and public office holders.
