The sixth Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF), which starts today in Kathmandu, will feature up to 95 films from 35 different nations for 2023.
14 awards will be given out in seven categories, including national, foreign, short, long, documentary, and animated films, according to the Film Festival’s chairperson KP Pathak.
Both Indian director Premendra Majumdar and Chinese Film Academy professor Li Ran will present talks on various topics.

During the festival, topics such as the role of movies in geopolitics, the growth of Nepali audiences, movie policy, the importance and practice of movie casting, Nepali comedies, and the careers and responsibilities of maternal heroes are discussed.
The films, according to the organizers, are being shown in four theaters run by QFX Cinemas, and the debate is taking place in Bhrikutimandap, the auditorium of the Nepal Tourism Board.
