In the third match of the triangular one-day series under ICC World Cup Cricket League-2 in the UAE, Papua New Guinea (PNG) has set a run of 180 runs for Nepal to win.
PNG won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 179 runs in 49.2 overs to set a target score of 180 for Nepal.

PNG’s leading run scorer was their opening batter, Tony Ura. He batted.390 with 39 runs batted in. When compared to Kiplin Doriga’s 26 runs, Hiri Hiri’s 31 were the clear winners.

Both Sese Bau and Asad Bhala, the captain, went out for 11 runs. With the score at 15, Gaudy Tika, Chad Soper, and Riley Hekure were all dismissed. Norman Vanua lost his wicket with the score at 14 for.
On the 22nd over, Tony Ura was caught by Sompal Kami, who was subsequently dismissed. Both Nepali players, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sompal Kami, took two wickets. The same was true for Karan KC, Kushal Malla, and Sandeep Lamichhane, who all managed to capture a wicket.
Nepal is undefeated against Papua New Guinea in League-2, having won all three prior meetings between the two teams. Nepal needs to win four of its remaining six matches if it wants to save its ODI status.
With 28 points after 30 matches, Nepal is currently in sixth place among the seven-nation tournament.
