A plan to supply Ukraine with MiG fighter aircraft was approved by Slovakia.
Following Poland, Slovakia is the second NATO nation to have complied with many requests from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for aircraft to support his nation’s fight against the Russian invasion.
The retired fleet of 13 MiG-29s from Slovakia, according to Prime Minister Eduard Heger, is putting his nation “on the right side of history” in helping Ukraine.

According to a British Defense Ministry intelligence report, Russian military and Wagner Group forces have recently established bases west of the Bakhmutka River in the village of Bakhmut.
According to the ministry, the river recently served as the front line of the conflict in the town of Bakhmut in the Donbas. Ukrainian forces continue to defend the western side of the town, the report stated.
According to the report, Russia is currently engaging in some of the fewest local offensive battles since January.
The reason for this, according to the report, is that Russian forces have momentarily lost so much combat power that even limited offensive activities are no longer viable.
When troops and munitions supplies are restocked, the Russians’ “offensive potential” will probably increase. Russian commanders “would likely be forced to choose between carrying out offensive operations and waging a realistic defense of the complete line” until then, the ministry claimed.

In a phone call with his Ukrainian colleague on Thursday, China’s foreign minister expressed his country’s desire for a peaceful resolution to the situation in Ukraine and urged Russia and Ukraine to hold peace negotiations.
Qin Gang reportedly informed Dmytro Kuleba that China “has dedicated itself to fostering peace and progressing negotiations and called on the international community to establish conditions for peace talks,” according to a statement from the foreign ministry of China.
The statement also quotes Qin as saying, “China wishes that all sides would maintain calm, reason, and restraint,” as the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has just passed.
