Susan Wojcicki resigns
On February 16, Susan Wojcicki made her resignation as CEO of YouTube official. With this, Wojcicki’s tenure at YouTube’s parent firm, Google, came to an end after 25 years. She led the development of Google’s initial video and book searches at the time, and she also contributed to the development of AdSense.
Moreover, Wojcicki stated in a letter to the staff that working there had been “exhilarating, purposeful, and all-consuming.” Wojcicki stated that she will be taking a break to concentrate on her personal life, health, and other initiatives even though she intends to continue serving as an adviser to Google and Alphabet.
