Sushma Tamang of Nepal qualified for the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships to be held in India after winning a silver medal in the women’s 48 kg weight division at the ASBC Asian U22 Women’s and Men’s Boxing Championship in Thailand.
Sushma Tamang will compete in the world boxing championship
Tuesday, the Nepal Boxing Association announced that Tamang will be chosen straight for the World Championship.
The association stated in a news release that the selection will take place from February 7 to February 9 in various weight categories.

“According to the decision of the Nepal Boxing Association, we would like to notify you that Sushma Tamang has been chosen as a competitor in the World Championship competition since she earned the silver medal in the Asian U-22 in the 48 kg weight group.”
