In order to commemorate the renaming of the province, the administration of Koshi Province has decreed that today is a holiday throughout the entirety of the province.
On Wednesday, members of the Provincial Assembly came to the consensus that Province-1 should be renamed Koshi Province.
Today, the province’s educational institutions, as well as all government offices, public institutions, and foundations, will stay closed.

In addition, the government of the province has extended its congratulations to the citizens of the province on the selection of the name for the province.
