Today, Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra will embark on a two-day visit to Nepal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Pautyal invited Kwatra to visit Nepal.

During the visit, Kwatra and Paudyal will engage in official conversations.
The conversation will focus on several facets of bilateral cooperation, including connectivity, energy commerce, agriculture, and health.
Previously, in August of last year, Foreign Secretary Paudyal visited India.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Kwatra’s visit is a continuation of high-level visits between Nepal and India and that it would be a chance to strengthen ties between the two nations.
This is Kwatra’s first trip to Nepal in his capacity as foreign minister.
Kwatra spent two years as the Indian ambassador to Nepal.
He was named Indian Foreign Secretary in March of last year. In 1988, he joined the diplomatic service of India.
